AEA Congress, Madrid
It all begins with an idea.
The Association of European Attorneys (AEA) is an international network of over 8,000 lawyers based in 155 countries around the globe. Isca Legal have been a member of the AEA since 2024.
We attended our first AEA congress from 22-23 May 2025. This year’s annual congress was held in Madrid and was an opportunity for us to make new connections with colleagues from around the world. 317 lawyers representing 67 countries attending this year’s AEA congress.
During the congress we had the opportunity to introduce ourselves to our fellow attendees. Our address was given by Philippa Taylor-Dickson who had two minutes to summarise who we are and our areas of expertise to the congress. You can watch Philippa’s address in the video below.
The AEA’s reach extends far beyond Europe; on the last night we had the pleasure of dining with fellow lawyers from Guatemala, the BVI, Germany, India and China. We spent breakfast chatting with colleagues from France, Spain, Italy and Poland.
Being a member of the AEA helps us to assist our clients by being able to recommend lawyers in other jurisdictions from within our own network.
The 2026 congress will be held in Paris where we look forward to catching up with our new colleagues and meeting even more.
