Transparency in Pricing

At Isca Legal is committed to providing clarity of its pricing in accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Transparency Rules to ensure that you have accurate and relevant information to help you make an informed choice.

Our work, whether by way of advice, of a transactional nature or the conduct of litigation, will usually be costed on our normal time-related basis which is as set out below. The applicable rates will be confirmed in your letter of engagement with us at the beginning of any instruction. Please note that we reserve the right to review our rates periodically.

We will gladly give estimates of likely costs where possible, but these must not be treated as fixed because circumstances can change rapidly and unexpectedly. There may be occasions where we will be prepared to agree fixed fees but only where we already have sufficient understanding of the issues to be dealt with fairly to be able to do so.

The range of our normal time-related charging rates for our different grades of staff is as follows:

                       £345 - £460 per hour      -          Partner/equivalent

                       £295 - £375 per hour      -          Associate

                       £175 - £245 per hour      -          Solicitor

                       £150 per hour       -          Trainee/paralegal staff

The rates quoted are exclusive of VAT which will be added at the prevailing rate, currently 20%.

Disbursement costs are costs that we have to pay to third parties on your behalf, such as Court fees and taxes. These costs are payable in addition to the time-related costs detailed above and will be recharged to you at cost. By instructing us you authorise us to pay any disbursement costs incidental to the subject-matter of the instruction. However substantial disbursement charges will not normally be incurred without your prior approval.

Please note the amount you are required to pay us will be determined by the terms of your letter of engagement with us and this sum could be more than any contribution to your costs that may be or become payable by a third party such as an insurer or your unsuccessful opponent in any litigation.
